Terms of Service

Welcome to Sparetools. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully as they constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sparetools.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts under South African law to use our platform.

2. How It Works

Renters book items from hosts directly through the platform. Payments are processed via Paystack preauthorisation (hold). Funds are only captured and transferred to the host after the renter confirms a successful return or the rental period concludes without dispute. A 10% platform fee applies to all transactions to maintain the marketplace and provide support.

3. Prohibited Items

Illegal, dangerous, or stolen items are strictly forbidden. This includes but is not limited to firearms, hazardous chemicals, and any item prohibited by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

5. Liability

Sparetools is a marketplace platform provider. We are not responsible for the condition of items, user conduct, or disputes between parties. Our liability is limited to the fees paid to us by the user in the 12 months preceding any claim.

6. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
